Murder charge trial date fixed
A man accused of murder will have his case heard at Leicester Crown Court.
Damian Rokita (21), of no fixed abode, appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court yesterday.
He is charged with the murder of Krystian Jerzy Gidek between Sunday, February 8 and Monday, February 16.
He did not enter a plea and spoke, through a Polish translator, only to confirm his name and age.
Mr Gidek's body was discovered at a house in Western Road, in Leicester's West End. Rokita was remanded into custody, to appear at the crown court on June 1.
