Murder investigation launched after man's body found in Gaol Street, Oakham
Leicestershire police have launched a murder investigation after the body of a man was found at a property in Oakham.
Four men have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.
Officers were called to Gaol Street just after 7.30am this morning and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the body had been removed from the scene and a post-mortem examination would take place in due course.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Castle, who is leading the investigation, said: “Inquiries into this incident are in their early stages and we are currently trying to piece together exactly what has happened.
“I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the Gaol Street area between 8pm last night and 7am this morning and either saw or heard anything out of the ordinary to get in contact with the police as soon as they can.”
