Nearly 400 people apply for just seven Tesco jobs
A new Tesco Express store opening in Loughborough had a total of 372 applications for seven new jobs.
More than 50 people were in the running for each of the vacancies at the shop in Leicester Road, Loughborough.
Interviews were carried out with 70 applicants and the posts have now been filled.
Store manager Claire Armson said all the vacancies had been filled by local people.

The store's opening hours will be seven days a week from 6am until 11pm.
