Jacob Mundin and fiancee Bryony Harris celebrate outside the Regal Cinema
The cinema closed in June last year after the death of owner John Merryweather, and there were fears it would never reopen.
However, cinema-goers are now celebrating its relaunch.

Jacob Mundin, who has taken over the cinema with his family, said the opening day was a great success.
"It went really well," he said. "We were half full, which was great considering it was raining and it was also Comic Relief.
"We had about 58 people for Lincoln and 38 for Skyfall, with more shows over the weekend as well.
"People were stopping on the ay out to say thank you and say how nice the cinema is, which was great.
"It's been a very good start, probably better than we expected. The way things are looking, it seems like it's going to be a great success."
