New lines of inquiry for police investigating Leicester murder
Detectives say they will be following up on several lines of inquiry after stopping people in the street where a man was murdered.
Ponnuthurai Nimalaraja, known by family and friends as Nimal, died on Saturday June 16. He had been found with serious head injuries at the junction of Gipsy Lane and Northfield Road, Leicester, at about 11pm the previous Saturday.
Last night, officers spoke to pedestrians and motorists in the area, to try to trace any witnesses who have not yet come forward and spoken to the police.
They said a number of lines of inquiry had been established as a result of this work.
