Nigel Pearson ready to wield the axe at Leicester City
Frustrated Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has promised to wield the axe after losing patience with his side's inconsistent performances.
Pearson said he would make changes and look at other options after his side again followed up a victory with a disappointing performance.

After the 2-1 win against Cardiff on Saturday, City threw away a 2-1 lead to lose at Watford on Tuesday night.
City face Norwich in the FA Cup on Saturday and, while Pearson admitted he would rather have another league game so his players could attempt to re-ignite their play-off campaign, he vowed he would take action after the 3-2 defeat to the Hornets.
However, despite City now having to bridge a nine-point gap to the top six with 15 games to play, Pearson said he would not tolerate anyone saying their season is over.
"If I hear anyone talking about seasons being over or anything like that, there will be serious repercussions," he said. "We have plenty of points to play for.
"I've just told the players that I don't want to hear anybody talking about the season being over. It doesn't enter my mind-set and I don't expect anybody else within our ranks to be talking in those terms.
"(Watford) was a game we should have won, but we started so poorly and lacklustre in certain areas that I will be looking to make one or two changes.
"We need to play consistently and that has been the problem all season. I have been very patient so far in terms of how to change it. I don't criticise the players openly.
"My responsibility is to put it right and I will do. What I have said in the dressing room will remain there.
"We have to wait a bit longer for the next league game, which is a frustration, but we have a cup game which gives me an opportunity to look at one or two different options."
Pearson said that having gone 2-1 ahead through two fantastic David Nugent goals, he expected City to close out the game but blamed sloppy defending for the outcome.
"When you score two goals away from home, and two super goals by the way, it is frustrating that we came away without anything," he said. "I would have been disappointed to draw that game.
"I am not happy with certain aspects of our performance. The main disappointment for me is what improved our performances of late was missing in the initial period of the game.
"That is something I am not prepared to accept.
"To concede three goals like we did is something I will be looking to rectify."

“DorsetFox are you Richard? or is the dog on your profile Richard?
Just what are you banging on about, I am not Robinson Crusoe giving the Foxfan1 a bit of stick for his dumb opinion of our club, our manager, and our players.
Even yourself gave him a wind up. So just leave me alone and mind your own business.”

“Hey carlwilks
Seeing as how you are so interested in our forum I thought I would take a look at yours and surprise, surprise, bet you recognise these little gems of wisdom.
"I for one am dreading the next run of games I really think that NB is way out of his depth and is just riding on what NP left behind". Rated at – 16, that's minus 16 folks
"Be honest when Nigel walked out we all feared the worst" that's still to come
"Forgot this forum city fans, come and join me wind up the Leicester fans" Rated at – 8, yes minus 8
As posted by yourself, says it all really, I think the words pot, kettle and black spring to mind.
No wonder you are on our forum, your own fans don't like you much either.”

“Catching up after Broadband let me down for three days: sorry carlwilks for lying, I only live on the profits of one home. Treating your nonsense as the waste of time that it is, I'll just add two points, you must have a sad life to leave your beloved third division north over-achievers sites to move to our vibrant big-city maelstrom, and second, if you'd like a brochure, sorry, we're picky. You might still go to Heaven, but you're already in Hull. Get off our site, we're building ANOTHER team here. Enjoy Nigel's last one. Chester's on his way to partner Drinkwater....”
