It's not every day a former Formula 1 World Champion rides into Leicester, albeit on a bike, but Nigel Mansell did on Monday for his UK Youth Cycle Challenge.

My daughter Ailish and I went along to Western Park to support Nigel, his sons Greg and Leo and a crew of enthusiastic cyclists on their round the UK cycle ride to "raise awareness of the Positive About Youth Campaign".

They covered 1,200 miles in 13 days and stopped off on Day 12 at the Western Free Ride Park on their way to Silverstone.

Nigel took time out to chat to the cyclists who had gathered to show their support before heading off down to Silverstone. The aim is to raise £1 million for UK youth, so if anyone wants to donate you can check out the web page:
