North Leicestershire League football: Preston at double for Luffs
Loughborough FC edged to a 3-2 victory at Sutton Bonington Academicals in Group A of the Chairman's Shield.
Stephen Preston (2) and Matthew Wright scored for the Luffs and Dan Vowels hit both goals for the Accies.
Rob Quick, Tim Preston and Damon Lawrence were on target for Ravenstone United in a 3-1 home win against Belton Villa for whom Adam Trickett scored the consolation goal.
Lee Baillie hit four goals as Thringstone MW beat East Leake Athletic Reserves 6-1. Steve Adams and Reece Broadhurst were also on the mark for Thringstone with Gareth Wisher striking for East Leake.
In Group B, Markfield Reserves won 2-1 at Thurmaston Rangers through Callum Rousseau and Danny Ryland, Jamie Mackay scored the consolation goal for Rangers.
Strikes from Matt Smith and Sam Limbert helped Ingles to a 2-1 victory at Woodhouse Imperial for whom Craig Tebbs was on target.
Neil Wilton's hat-trick set the pace as ATI Garryson beat Loughborough Reserves 5-0 in Group C.
Marc Brooks and Justin North made up the tally.
Ravenstone United Reserves pipped Whitwick United 3-2 through Dominic Harding (2) and Jamie Preston. Dean Hall and Andrew Irons scored the consolation goals for Whitwick.
Greenhill YC and Sutton Bonington were locked in a 2-2 draw in Group D.
James Armstrong and Danny Morris struck for Greenhill, Nick Pick and Luke Woolley for Sutton Bonington.
Goals from Kane Emery (4) and Scott Robinson fired Sileby Saints Reserves to a 5-0 home triumph against Castle Donington.
