Oadby Town Complete Double Over Wellingborough Whitworth
Following on from Saturdays good win for Oadby Town, Tuesday night saw them visit Wellingborough Whitworth's ground. The game was played at a good pace and saw Oadby Town create a number of decent chances with both Jon Stevenson and Michael Reeve both going close but it was Ollie Brown-Hill who finally broke the deadlock and scored. Despite the chances, Oadby Town only went into half time 1 - 0 up. As the second half started Wellingborough Whitworth showed more intent going forward and started to press Oadby Town. Oadby managed to weather this spell and goals followed from Jo Cobb, a second for Ollie Brown-Hill, Calum Earls and finally a good strike from Mason Hirst closed the game with Oadby Town 5 - 0.
Oadby now have a League Cup game on Saturday away at Thrapston and with other clubs around them also winning it now look like it will be between the top four clubs to battle for the two promotion places.
