Oadby Town progress to Quarter Final of Knock Out Cup
Last night saw Oadby Town return to winning form after last Saturdays league defeat to Northampton Sileby Rangers. Oadby finally played their United Counties Knock Out Cup game against Quorn at Farley Way on the third attempt. On a wet and windy evening, Oadby seemed to cope well with the elements and took the lead after 6 minutes when Jon Stevenson cut inside from the left to slot the ball into the bottom corner of the Quorn net.
This seemed to unsettle the Quorn defence and a mix up between defender and keeper allowed Nick Pollard to roll the ball into an empty net. At this point Quorn seemed to gather their composure and after a good move, managed to pull a goal back though Liam Turner on 38 minutes.

Oadby celebrate their third goal
As the second half started Oadby continued to play fluid passing football and a good run from Calum Earls carrying the ball from his own half into the Quorn box resulted in his shot hitting the underside of the bar with the Quorn keeper beaten, only to bounce out into the keepers hands! Oadby continued to press and the introduction of Che Adams in midfield led to Oadby's third goal when he crossed for Jake Duffy to continue his good form this year and making the score 3 -1 to Oadby. This was the last real action of the game and Oadby now have an away tie at Thrapston Town in the Quarter finals. All eyes now move to Saturday when Burton Park Wanderers are the visitors to Freeway Park, Oadby.
