Open tomb and test royal DNA
As an historian, might I suggest that to make a positive identification of the remains found in a grave in Leicester that may be of King Richard III, an appeal is made to the Queen for permission to open up the tomb of Edward IV – Richard's elder brother – who lies next to his faithful Lord Chancellor, William Hastings, of Kirby Muxloe and Ashby castles.
A DNA sample can be taken to make sure that if the remains are those of Richard it will give rise to making sure he is afforded a burial with royal assent.

We arrived early enough to have breakfast. The rest of the day was the normal trudging through the crowds and spending money we haven't really got. However, everyone had a great day out, although an exhausting one.
On Christmas Eve, I was sent a £85 parking fine as I'd shopped for one hour and seven minutes too long.
The questions I'd like to ask are why else would you park at the shopping centre? Why punish the people who are helping to prop up ailing shops and businesses?
Our £500-plus will no longer be going to the retailers at Beaumont Leys.

In reply to Kevin Fletcher ("Amazed to read of River Jordan", Mailbox, January 4), no, there isn't a Middle East/UK water pipeline.
The River Jordan referred to is the name given locally to a stream which rises above Braybrooke and flows through Little Bowden to join the River Welland in Market Harborough.
