Parents find out decision on school admissions in Leicester and Leicestershire
Parents will today find out whether their children have secured one of their preferred secondary schools.
Leicestershire county council education bosses say most parents have received one of their child's three choices.
In all, 10,877 applications were received for Leicestershire's schools this year and 97.4 per cent of these received their first choice, 1.5 per cent their second choice and 0.1 per cent their third choice.
About one per cent – 110 pupils – did not receive a preferred school.
