The redevelopment of the Leicester Tigers stadium will be the main issue for discussion at a community meeting this week.

People living in Castle Ward, Leicester, which includes the city centre, Clarendon Park and the Walnut Street area, can attend a community meeting tomorrow.

At the meeting, Charles Rayner, of Leicester Tigers Rugby Football Club, will give a presentation on the redevelopment taking place at the Welford Road stadium and its related car parking proposals.

He will also talk about a community event planned for September this year.

Other topics to be covered include adult learning, street cleaning and planning enforcement.

The meeting is in the European Suite of Leicester Tigers rugby club in Welford Road, starting at 6.30pm.

“a large number of us used to pay to park on a local car park used weekday only by the site owner, leics city council now rent it in the week and have banned us from using it for match days , thus approx 2-300 more cars looking for road parking and the car park stands empty--- thank leics city council,, also why dont the universities open their car parks and make some money, they empty behind barriers and jobsworths who say no”
