Pippa Middleton on the Red Carpet in Alice Temperley

She may be the sister of a Princess, but that doesn’t mean that her Royal sister ever overshadows Pippa Middleton. The gorgeous Middleton sister (and her now famous derriere) showed up to the UK premiere of Shadow Dancer in a sensational black and white Alice by Temperley design, proving that she can compete with Kate in the style stakes.

The film which Pippa saw, Shadow Dancer, is a new political spy thriller that tells the story of an Irish IRA conspirator who spied for the British government. The ITV political editor, Tom Bradby, a good friend of both Prince William and Prince Harry, wrote the film. Bradby was a guest at William and Kate’s wedding, and this familial connection perhaps goes some way to explaining why Pippa was in attendance.

The dress itself was a black bodycon number with lace detail at the top, and is named “Ruby”. We’ll be expecting to see a lot more of Pippa over the coming months as she begins to promote her brand new book, entitled ‘Celebrate’. The book is a guide to party planning and is out in the autumn of this year. It should be full of useful insider knowhow as the Middleton family are the owners of a party supplies business. We wonder if she’ll have any budget advice for us in the guide, as apparently the Temperley dress was bought on sale!

Pippa isn’t the only famous face that has been known to choose an Alice Temperley design either; it seems that the British fashion designer is a favourite amongst celebrities everywhere. The Princess of Cambridge has been seen wearing Temperley, as well as Jennifer Lopez. Alice has been quoted as saying that she always finds it ”incredibly flattering” when women choose to wear her designs.
