Plaudits for our cup lads
Congratulations to the Leicestershire & Rutland FA's under-18 squad for winning their second-round tie in the FA County Youth Cup.
In a close and fiercely-contested game, County managed to beat Cheshire 2-1.
Both sides were clearly eager to progress to the third round of this national competition.
County made the better start with Amarvir Singh-Sandhu giving them the lead on nine minutes with a great effort.

Cheshire fought back and levelled the game within five minutes and, for a period threatened to add a second.
However, on 34 minutes, Liam Canavan broke through following some outstanding passing and slotted home what proved to be the winning goal.
In the third round, County will host either Northumberland or Durham at Holmes Park on a date before December 15.
Should they win that tie they will be through to the quarter-finals.
Futsal has been one of our focuses this week and via our twitter account – @leicsfa.
We have been tweeting futsal facts in 140 characters or less with the aim of increasing awareness of this exciting up-and-coming version of football.
Futsal in Leicestershire and Rutland is developing at a rapid pace over the last two seasons, particularly in terms of awareness and participation.
The County FA, working alongside key partners, now provides opportunities for girls, boys and adults to take place in FIFA's only five-a-side approved format.
In the next few weeks, we will see the start of this season's youth and adult futsal leagues, providing opportunities for teams from across the county to complete.
These leagues will then feed in to The FA National Futsal Youth Festivals and FA Fives competitions.
Futsal is used as a development tool across the world to support player-development skills that are easily transferable to the 11-a-side game.
