Play's ovation speaks for itself
Having read Lizz Brain's review of Certified, at Curve, I wondered whether Ms Brain had seen the play I, my wife, family and friends had enjoyed on preview night.
The thought of four businessmen talking among themselves for two hours didn't appear very appealing but, boy, was I wrong.

It is very funny and, with no props, the miming is very clever.
As for the play being outdated, hasn't Ms Brain heard of men, and women for that matter, going on weekend bonding sessions organised by their work?

I don't know if Ms Brain stopped until the end of the performance, but if she did she would have noticed the ovation the audience gave the four actors.
With all due respect, I believe in this instance Ms Brain appears to be out of touch with the paying public.
RJ Atkins, Leicester.

“Who cares if company's still do outward bound bonding weekends, even in the hayday I doubt many company's sent them to South America! Its a work of fiction and a really good one at that. My husband and I also attended the preview and throughly enjoyed it. the mime and songs were great and the overall acting fantastic, in fact my husband came out saying it was the best night at the theatre he has had!”

“Do companies really still do outward bound bonding weekends? God I hope not.”

“I agree, RJ Atkins.
A bit too much swearing but otherwise excellent.
If I'd read it had songs and mime I probably wouldn't have gone - glad I went”
