Police CCTV image of Saffron Lane and Aylestone robbery suspect
Police are hunting a man who they believe carried out two knifepoint robberies at Leicester businesses last weekend.
The man targeted Simply Tan, Grace Road, Aylestone at 9.45am on Friday, October 26. He threatened staff with a knife and ordered them to open the till.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace
However, the till was empty so he took a bag of sunbed tokens. At 9.30pm on Sunday, October 28, a man threatened staff at the Total petrol station in Saffron Lane, escaping with cash from the till. Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace. Detective Constable James Willoughby said: "Because of the similarities between the crimes and description of the suspect we strongly believe that these two incidents are linked and we hope this will increase our chances of getting information about the person responsible.
"We are also keen to speak to any people or businesses that may have approached by someone selling sunbed tokens at a cheap suspicious price." The suspect is 5ft 7in or 5ft 8in, of a medium build and in his early 20s. He spoke with a Leicester accent and was wearing dark clothing, a balaclava and gloves. His top had three white stripes down each arm. Contact Det Con Willoughby on 101 or Crimestoppers, which is anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
