Police have launched a fresh appeal for information about a man they want to trace following an indecent assault in a car park.

Officers have re-released CCTV footage in connection with the incident, in which a woman was attacked in Lee Circle car park, Leicester, at about 8.30pm on Thursday, November 17.

The 22-year-old victim was paying for her parking ticket when a man asked her for a cigarette.

She handed him one cigarette but he then put his arms around her and pulled up her skirt.

She demanded that he leave her alone and immediately reported the incident to police.

The suspect is in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5ft 5in and slim.

He has dark brown eyes and had a spotty face and a goatee beard. He was wearing a navy and light blue striped hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Pc Claire Middleton said: "Despite a number of appeals for information, we are still trying to identify the man responsible.

"We would urge anyone who recognises the description or the person in the footage to contact us.

"The victim was very distressed by the incident.

"It is possible that the suspect had followed the victim along Charles Street to the car park."

Contact Pc Middleton on 101.
