Police quiz man about fatal crash in Gartree Road, Oadby
A man was being questioned by police yesterday about a car crash in which a woman was killed.
The incident happened in Gartree Road, Oadby, at 6.30pm on Saturday and involved one vehicle, which hit a tree.
The woman passenger in a red Peugeot 406 estate was pronounced dead at the scene. She has not yet been named.
The driver was treated at Leicester Royal Infirmary and later discharged.

Police said a 52-year-old man had been arrested and yesterday remained in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Castle said: "The Peugeot was travelling in the direction of Leicester Airport when it hit a tree.
"We would urge anyone with information to call us so we can piece together exactly what happened."
