Lockington and Hemington: A police report received at the May Meeting of Lockington and Hemington Parish Council held at the Village Hall, Lockington, on Wednesday, May 13, showed very few crimes in the preceding month. A number of complaints were passed on concerning speeding along the roads from the A50. It is expected that speed checks will be made in the area shortly.

Lockington and Hemington: The annual meeting of Lockington and Hemington Parish Council saw Councillor Peter Whieldon elected chairman and Councillor Kevin Hall elected vice-chairman. The representatives of the parish council on outside bodies were all re-elected.

Lockington: The Summer Fete for Lockington Parish Church will be held at the Church in Church Street, Lockington, on Saturday, June 6, from 2pm. Everyone will be welcome.
