Police say 1,700 people involved in Leicester city centre protest
Police say about 1,700 people have been involved in this afternoon's protest in Leicester city centre.
About 1,000 English Defence League supporters are demonstrating at Humberstone Gate East, with about 700 members of Unite Against Fascism involved in a counter-protest, the force has revealed.

An officer who suffered a leg injury is expected to be discharged from hospital later this afternoon.
Police say five people in total have been arrested.
