Give the Premiership a Six Nations break
No fewer than eight Leicester Tigers players have been picked as part of the Six Nations rugby union championship.
Great, some may say. It's an honour to play for your country.
-

But while Tigers have strength in depth to cover for these players, it still leaves our club at risk of losing places in the Premiership.
It is not unreasonable, surely, for season ticket-holders to expect a full team of experienced players for league games?

Why not, for example, suspend league games during the Six Nations? That way, both club and country get their money's worth.
I believe this system works in football, but I'm a mere fan whose voice will no doubt be ignored by the money men.

“John- you hit the nail on the head, it's all about money in rugby these days. In football, with all the millions big clubs have, if 2 players are selected than the game is postponed. Rugby supporters are being shortchange when internationals are played and may give Tigers opponents a better chance of winning if they still have their normal 15”
