A chartered surveyor and property consultancy has announced its support for a new long distance trail through The National Forest.

Fisher German, which has offices around the UK including in Ashby, is helping the National Forest Company and its local authority partners install and repair stiles and other footpath infrastructure, as well as markers along the 75-mile route.

Work is underway and it is expected to be open for walkers in 2014.

Partner Andrew Bridge said "As a business which has been actively involved in the creation of The National Forest since 1995, we are proud to support this ambitious and challenging project."
