A man who has worked at heating and pipeline equipment supplier BSS Industrial for more than 20 years has been promoted to commercial director.

Andy Raine was previously category director of piping systems at the Leicester-based firm.

His move upwards follows the promotion of Sue Greatorex, who has become divisional buying director for Northampton-based owner Travis Perkins' plumbing and heating division.

Mr Raine said: "This is a great challenge for me and will put to use the skill set that I have developed in my 21 years with BSS Industrial."

Travis Perkins completed a £558 million takeover of 113-year-old BSS in 2010.
