Rape denied
A 52-year-old man appeared in court yesterday denying four charges of raping a girl under the age of 16.
Alan Underwood, of Tilling Road, Leicester, also pleaded not guilty to four further charges of indecent assault when he appeared at Leicester Crown Court.
The charges relate to allegations dating between July 1, 2001 and April 30, 2005.
Underwood was remanded on bail to stand trial on April 22 next year.
