Revealed – the secrets of success
A student has interviewed great achievers for a film he hopes will inspire people to reach for their dreams.
Anubhav Srivastava, a student at the University of Leicester, spoke to people including Sir Alec Jeffreys, who pioneered DNA fingerprinting, and Leicester University vice-chancellor Sir Robert Burgess, for his project, Carve Your Destiny.
He also interviewed Kiran Bedi, who was the first woman to join the Indian police service, Olympic wrestler Sushil Kumar, artist Jatin Das, TV journalist Vinod Dua, author Shiv Khera, New Delhi chief minister Sheila Dixit and Miss India Universe 2009 Ekta Chowdhry.
Anubhav, 24, said: "You don't learn how to be successful by listening to someone who isn't.
"The most proven path to becoming successful is listening to what successful people have to say, studying their teachings and emulating what they have done.
"I want people to learn from the super-successful, apply whatever they have learnt and go on to become achievers themselves.
"Ultimately, they reached their destination because they never stopped moving towards it," he said.
A spokesman for the university said: "We welcome this creative enterprise by Anubhav and wish him luck. We will support him in his work."
Anubhav intends to release the documentary on the internet and to carry out a viral marketing campaign to reach as many people as possible.
