The University of Leicester has designed three home pages for its website depending on the outcome of the Richard III press conference tomorrow.

Academics involved in the hunt for the medieval monarch say they are still waiting on key pieces of evidence before deciding whether or not to confirm the skeleton’s identity.

They are meeting today (Sunday), to finalise their verdict - one day before more than 140 journalists from around the globe descend on the city campus.

The three possible outcomes, which will be that the remains are confirmed as Richard III, that they are not Richard III and that the evidence is inconclusive, have been mocked up on a series of potential web pages.

The correct page will be uploaded to the university website as soon as the decision is announced at the press conference on Monday.

A spokesman for the University of Leicester said: “This is literally a cliff-hanger for the university – a high-powered academic meeting on Sunday will try to fit together the different parts of the jigsaw and see what emerges.

“We are on tenterhooks and the level of excitement within the university is palpable – the truth is we still don’t know the identity of the skeleton.”

“In comment:Interestingly-the author "Edward De Bono"-gives us the answer-he illustrates by modelling the computer-that the popular choice -supposedly-should be a "lateral thinking" one.Hope that helps.”
