Richard III dig: Open days to mark discovery at Greyfriars site in Leicester

A programme of Richard III-themed events and displays are taking place to mark the discovery:

The Greyfriars dig site, New Street: Open to public. Free. Saturday, September 15, and Sunday, September 16 – 11am to 4pm. Wednesday, September 19 – 5pm to 7pm, Saturday, September 22, and Sunday, September 23 – 11am to 4pm

The Guildhall, Guildhall Lane: Objects from the excavation, plus information panels on Richard III and the excavation. Free. Saturday, September 15, Sunday, September 16, Saturday, September 22, and Sunday, September 23 – 11am to 4pm

Highcross shopping centre: Panels explaining the search for King Richard III. Saturday, September 15, and Sunday, September 16, Saturday, September 22, and Sunday, September 23 – 11am to 4pm
