Roads closed in Leicestershire because of floods
One flood alert remains in place this morning in Leicestershire and roads remain closed due to the recent heavy rain.
The Environment Agency said an alert remains in place at the lower River Soar including tributaries from Cossington to Redhill at the River Trent.

Flooding to farmland in the Cossington, Sileby, Barrow, Quorndon and Cotes areas continues.
Drivers are being warned that some roads remain clsoed due to flooding. Mountsorrel Lane, in Sileby, is closed at the Sileby Road junction.

Two other roads reported to be affected by flooding this morning are Broome Lane, in East Goscote, which is closed between the A607 Melton Road junction and the A46 junction and Countesthorpe Road, in South Wigston, which is closed in both directions near the Crow Mill junction.
Today will be mostly dry and cloudy with some rain forecast for this evening.
More rain and sleet is set to hit the county on tomorrow.
