Motorists are being warned to watch out for flooded roads today (THUR) after the River Sence and the River Soar burst their banks.

The Environment Agency has issued Flood Alerts for the Billesdon and Glen Parva areas this morning and warned that low-lying land and some roads will have been affected.Other areas liable to flooding include Great Glen, Kilby Bridge, South Wigston and Blaby.

Slash Lane near Sileby is currently closed to traffic and river levels throughout the county are continuing to rise.
