A man armed with a knife attempted to rob a pedestrian in an underpass.

The 25-year-old victim was attacked from behind in the walkway underneath Burleys Way, Leicester.

His attacker, who is thought to be in his early 30s, tried to grab the man's wallet and phone.

After a brief struggle, the victim managed to break free and the suspect ran off empty- handed.

The victim was treated for minor injuries after the attack, which happened at 2.30pm on Friday, November 20.

The suspect is white and about 6ft tall. He had stubble and a pointed nose.
