Pc Waheed Nagdi said: “The victim was not hurt in this incident but has been left shocked by what happened.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or two men fitting these descriptions to contact us.”

The robbers are black. One has a light complexion, is in his early-20s and has very short black hair and stubble above his top lip and was wearing a brown or reddish coloured hooded jacket and jeans.

The other man has a darker complexion, is a similar age and was wearing a black puffer-style coat with the hood up and pulled tight around his face.

The stolen bicycle has a chunky frame, thin road tyres and butterfly handlebars, a black and red racing saddle, two water bottle holders and front suspension.

Contact Pc Nagdi on 101 or Crimestoppers, which is anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
