Rugby League: Ty Watson's late try puts Leicester Phoenix top of Midlands Premier Division
Leicester Phoenix went top of the RLC Midlands Premier Division after a thrilling 34-30 victory over Coventry Bears.
Ty Watson, against his former club, and Darren Birch went over to give Phoenix a good start. Bears replied with two tries of their own before Carl Harris gave Phoenix a 16-10 lead at the break.

The second half was pulsating for the packed Phoenix Park crowd. Tries from Ben Hooper and Birch gave Phoenix the advantage but Bears fought back to edge in front with only minutes remaining.
Watson had the final say, however, barging over for the winning try and Nathan Walmsley kicked his fifth goal for a 34-10 victory.
