A series of running groups has been set up for anyone who is looking to get in shape this year.

Qualified fitness instructors will lead running sessions from locations across Charnwood, starting this month..

They offer anyone aged over 16 the chance to run in a safe environment and at a suitable pace for their level of fitness.

Councillor David Snartt, cabinet member for neighbourhood services at Charnwood Borough Council, which is organising the sessions, said: "Why not start a new hobby for the new year or increase your speed, stamina and fitness with a running club that will offer encouragement, fun and a chance to get healthier."
