“Most schools are open as normal today. If you are a parent do not worry your children will be ok, if you have little children then make sure they have good footwear.”

“clagnutt
yes it was only 4 inches but when the gritting lorry didn't come through our village until 10.30 am on Sunday the roads were already impassable due to the hills with speed bumps on them, it took most of the day for the main road to become clear and all the side roads still have a layer of packed snow / slush / black ice on them.
The forecast was for rain to wash the snow away Sunday afternoon, so where did that disappear to.”
