Ryan McGivern looking to book a regular place in Leicester City team
Ryan McGivern is hoping to cement his place in the Leicester City team after finally making his debut on Tuesday night.
The 19-year-old left-back was given his first taste of Championship action when he was picked ahead of Bruno Berner for the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, nearly two months after joining City on loan from Manchester City.

His lack of first-team opportunities have not affected his international prospects and McGivern has featured for the senior Northern Ireland side this season, despite not playing for his club.
But now he is determined to take his chance to get a run of games for Leicester.
"I have been waiting patiently and the manager said I needed to be patient and my chance would come," he said. "It came and he threw me in, and I am very grateful.
"I am very pleased with the performance and the result.
"The manager said I had been patient and that he felt the time was right to add a bit more energy on the left-hand side.
"Every player gets frustrated when they are not in the team, but it just makes you get your head down and work that bit extra hard so, when your chance comes, you can take it.
"It was the same situation when I was at Manchester City. I was in and around the first team and hanging around the squad while I was playing for Northern Ireland.
"I wanted to go out and get some games but it was frustrating not playing. Now the plan is to get a run of games. I have got the first game under my belt and now I need to build on it.
"Hopefully, I will do what I can in training and stay in the team."
McGivern said there was very little difference between life with the Premier League millionaires in Manchester and his new team-mates at Leicester, and he was enjoying his stay.
"Leicester is a massive club," he said. "The training ground and the stadium are top-class, and there isn't much difference.
"There is a bit more money at Manchester but that is the only difference. It is a battle and end-to-end in the Championship. Anyone can beat anyone and you have to stand up and be counted before you can play your football. I really enjoyed it."

“Yeah, he did ok, but Bruno has been really good at left back since Mattock went; he deserves to keep his place.”

“Whilst not yet the finished article, he had a steady game against Palace. It will also give us more options in midfield, where Bruno Berner can be moved to if so needed.”
