Teams battle it out in annual quiz
Husbands Bosworth: A full house of contestants battled for the honours in the annual Husbands Bosworth pavilion quiz and supper.
A capacity crowd of 80 competitors enjoyed a quiz covering varied subjects devised by cricket club member Gary Waterfield and his wife, Sue.
It was held to raise funds for the maintenance and running costs of the village sports pavilion.
The Bell Inn provided the fish and chip supper to feed the little grey cells during the interval.
After a tight contest, the Bothertons Team from Welford eventually emerged victorious, closely followed by the Norfolk and Chance Team, with the local farmers' Ploughmans Team in third place. The Foxes Team graciously accepted the wooden spoon.
The evening raised more than £300 towards funds and Jennifer Rogers, chair of the playing field committee, which oversees the administration of the sports pavilion, thanked the question masters and everyone involved in the evening.
