Say what you see
It was a day of cracking quotes at the Tigers v Ospreys Heineken Cup game last Sunday.
Ospreys coach Scott Johnson raised a chuckle in his post-match interview after Sunday’s Heineken Cup game.
He described the 32-32 draw as like “kissing your mother in-law”.
“You are glad you have got one but you don’t really want to go through with it again,” he added.
My mother-in-law, Jenny, is a tad over five foot tall. I would rather she stood on my toddler’s ‘taller step’ when I gave her a peck and a hug to save my bad back – but it’s not that bad.
What Scott Johnson’s mother-in-law expects when he gives her a kiss is anyone’s guess!
Ospreys, Wales and British & Irish Lions winger Shane Williams then described the Welford Road crowd as “mental” and “ intimidating” in his post-match interview.
It was far from a criticism however.
“Their crowd spurred them on,” he said. “There was one time when they got a big shove on us in a scrum and their supporters went mental.
“It seemed to motivate them and they soon scored a try.
“We need that kind of intimidation factor at the Liberty Stadium.”
