Kirby Muxloe: The primary school will be marking its centenary in April 2010 and the school is planning a 'birthday party'.

To mark the centenary a working party comprising pupils, parents and staff is being formed. Present and past members of the Kirby school community are welcome to be part of this group.

The purpose will be to agree the key events to mark the centenary and to plan and co-ordinate the occasion.

Knowledge of the school and the village is needed and the organisers hope people will have anecdotes that they want to share of their time at the school.
