The following schools will be closed or have changed their opening times today (Thursday) after snow hit the Leicestershire.

Castle Donington Community College, Castle Donington

Cobden Primary School, Loughborough

Congerstone Primary School, Congerstone

Hind Leys Community College in Shepshed - open but school will start at 9:30am. School buses will be picking up students an hour later than usual.

Maplewell Hall School, Woodhouse Eaves - open but school buses are only collecting pupils where it is safe to do so, this means some buses may not arrive for pick ups

Orchard Community Primary School, Castle Donington

Stathern Primary School, Stathern

Thorpe Acre Junior School and Infant School - open but the schools will start later than normal at 9:30am

Viscount Beaumont's Primary School in Coleorton - open but parents in cars are asked to avoid the approach roads if possible

Worthington Primary School, Worthington - open but at the later time of 10am.
