Caterpillar picked up a vital win to stay ahead of the pack in the Senior League Premier Division.

The leaders grabbed a 2-1 victory at third-placed Kirby Muxloe Reserves as Ryan Measham and Dave Kendrick both netted.

That made sure they kept their noses ahead of Rothley Imps, who made no mistake at home to Dunton & Broughton Rangers, posting a 5-1 win.

Ash Warner notched a couple, with leading scorer Steve Hart also on the mark and Aidan Black and Aaron Black adding to the nap hand.

Highfield Rangers, beaten by Dunton & Broughton in their previous game, got back to winning ways as they eased to a 3-0 victory against struggling Birstall United.

Josh Williams, Farrad Ussaf and an own goal accounted for United.

Matt Weightman's double helped keep Stapenhill in touch with the leading sides as they raced to a 6-0 win against FC GNG.

Sileby Saints were among the goals as they emerged 5-1 victors at Saffron Dynamo. Jake Rimmington hit a couple for Saints with Greg Fletcher and Lee Coggan also netting. An own goal completed a poor day for Dynamo.

Matt Hendey and Tim Marriott fired the goals which earned Sileby Town a 2-0 verdict against Cottesmore Amateurs to leave them nicely placed in sixth.

Ashby Ivanhoe found their touch in front of goal as they eased to a 4-1 success against Desford. Dan Stevenson hit a couple for the home side, Mark Smalley and Russell Wagg also netting.
