Shop chain managers' jobs at risk
Seven managerial jobs at the Leicester branch of department store John Lewis are at risk, the company has confirmed.
The company, which employs about 400 people at its store in Highcross, is drawing up plans to "streamline management structures".
A spokesman said seven departmental management jobs were being reviewed.
The spokesman said: "As part of our plans for future growth, we have been exploring alternative structural approaches through new shop openings over recent years.

"We are now proposing to streamline management structures in some of our established shops.
"It is inevitable there will be change for some roles as we progress.
"However, we are working with affected partners from an early stage and there will be opportunities for redeployment in roles created as part of this process, or in new shops due to open over the next 18 months."
