Singled out for veggie attack
Thank you for allowing Elizabeth Allison (Mailbox, April 17) to make me the sole recipient of her rather warped response to my previous letter.
I try to be factual and honest in my articles and cannot agree with her unsupported sentiments.
I am quite happy to be an omnivore, as are the greater proportion of our society.
Choice of diet is personal matter and no-one has the right in a civilised society to dictate what another should eat.
Quite why she was given the Letter of the Week award defies any logic, because there have been many other articles which were of far more importance to local readers than her repetitive bias against all meat eaters. Once again her article is unrealistic and badly researched.
And yes, Elizabeth, there are recorded instances in nature where one species does "farm" other life forms for their own sustenance!
Is the Mailbox so short of interesting articles that it must publish such blatantly outright attacks on me by her? It was not a justified response by her, it was a personal attack because I do not see the logic of her outlandish views.

“Someone give Ray some tissues!!!
Ray has now had his right of reply. I wonder what will happen next?”
