The five, who were remanded into custody, cannot be identified because of a court order banning publication of their names, addresses and dates of birth.
The Mercury has twice unsuccessfully challenged the order.
No such order was made in relation to Mistry, who did not enter a plea yesterday.
He was bailed to appear with the other five on Friday.
A 17-year-old youth and a 15-year-old youth arrested as part of the investigation have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
