Skills workshop visit for city MP
An MP was today due to visit a charity tackling youth unemployment.
Jon Ashworth, MP for Leicester South, was due to visit Pedestrian to meet people involved in skills workshops at the charity, which was established in 1998 and helps 14 to 18-year-olds.
Mr Ashworth said: "I'm looking forward to sitting in on one of the workshops.
"Young people are often told they don't have the necessary experience or qualifications to secure a job, so I'm excited to see what alternative opportunities Pedestrian offers."
