Snow affects services across Leicestershire and Rutland
The heavy snowfall across Leicestershire and Rutland over the weekend continues to affect some services across the county.
With more freezing conditions forecast Leicestershire County Council's gritters have been out and about today and drivers are being warned to take extra care.
After yesterday’s disruption to schools across Leicestershire and Rutland because of the snow, only a handful were closed today - see the full list here.
Leicestershire County Council said its gritters were out treating side roads today and staff were also out and about spreading grit by hand in town centres.
Today council refuse collections were being affected by the heavy snowfall.
Leicester City Council cancelled its recycling and refuse collections today. See the Leicester City Council website for more details.

Charnwood Borough Council said its bin and recycling and garden collection services would continue as normal today, although there may be slight delays. See the Charnwood Borough Council website for more details.

After disruption to rail services last night East Midlands Trains reported no major problems today.
East Midlands airport was back to normal after the runway had to be closed for several hours yesterday.
First Leicester buses were reported to be back to normal today.
Arriva Midlands Leicester warned passengers that its buses were serving main roads only for 5A/ 6, 26, 27, 28, 29/29A, 47,48 & 104 but most other buses were running a normal service.
