Snow joke! A Dalek's been spotted in city
Undeterred by plummeting temperatures and wintry conditions, Leicester Mercury readers have been out and about having fun in the snow.
Snowmen of all shapes and sizes are among the most popular subjects for the county's budding photographers – including one shaped as a Dalek from Doctor Who.
In addition, there are some beautiful scenes from around the county, from Watermead Country Park to Shepshed.
Pauline Overton, 66, of Whetstone, was pictured enjoying an evening sherry with her daughter, Clare Wheatley, 45, in her front garden.

Pauline said: "My daughter and granddaughters sneaked into the garden to build a snowman as a surprise on Sunday evening.
"I heard them laughing and giggling outside and went to see what was going on. I thought it might be nice to enjoy a sherry in the snow.
"The picture was taken by my granddaughter, Charlotte, 17. It was just a lovely fun evening so I'm glad we have the photo as a reminder."
Pam Nethercot's photograph was taken on Monday at Watermead, where she took her son, Billy, nine, and daughter, Kathie, 10, to go sledging and enjoy the great outdoors.
She said: "I decided to go sledging. I took my small Samsung camera with me and snapped away. It was a lovely afternoon out with the family."
