Snow warning for Leicestershire
Snowfall is causing some delays on rural roads across the county today.
The wintry shower is causing low visibility and snow is beginning to form deep drifts on some roads in the Melton and Harborough areas, according to Leicestershire’s area traffic control.
The cold weather coincided with a number of minor crashes on the roads this morning, as well as collisions that caused serious congestion on the Leicester inner ring road and the A47 near Tugby.
There was also major congestion on the motorways in Leicestershire.
