Speedway: Testimonial for Lions' Kauko Nieminen
Kauko Nieminen has been granted a testimonial meeting at Beaumont Park this summer.
The popular Finn has ridden in England and Scotland for the past decade and has been the Leicester Lions captain for the past one-and-a-half seasons.

Format and rider line-ups have yet to be decided, but it will be all systems go for Nieminen on Sunday, June 4, with tapes up at 4pm.
"We are so pleased that Kauko has asked for his testimonial to be held at Leicester," said Lions co-promoter Alan Jones.

The three-time winner of Finland's national individual championship signed for Workington in 2002.
Apart from one year spent at Glasgow, Nieminen remained at Derwent Park for five seasons during which time he was twice on the winning side in the Premier League Fours' Final, and was one half of a successful pairing that won the Pairs' Championship.
He was soon attracting the attention of a number of Elite League clubs and Lakeside came calling.
Nieminen has just completed five years with the Hammers, winning a Cup-final medal along the way.
The testimonial is reward for his 10 years of service to the sport.
