Police are looking for witnesses after a car was stolen and set on fire.

The silver Y-reg Audi TT was last seen parked in Chapel Street, Enderby, at about 11am on Friday, February 22.

It was found more than eight hours later in Victoria Street, Enderby, having been set alight.

Pc Ryan Buckland, who is investigating the incident, said: "Substantial damage was caused to the upholstery and roof lining of the vehicle during the incident.

"We would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen someone acting suspiciously in the area of Chapel Street, Enderby, or Victoria Street, Narborough, on February 22 to contact us with details.

"Any information no matter how seemingly insignificant could assist with our inquiries."

Anyone with information about the theft of the car should call police on 101.
